Ivan Tesic in car crash

I received this email today. If I were Ivan, I would appreciate many prayers.
----
Dear Christian friends,

Please, put on your prayer list our fellow worker and evangelist to the church in Zapresic, Ivan Tesic, who had a serious car collision, a couple of days ago. Brother Tesic is presently hospitalized in Zagreb, Croatia. His situation is stable, and doctors believe he will recover well. Brother Ivan Tesic and his wife Ruth have been long time workers for the Lord in Croatia.

You may contact by email Ivan and Ruth Tesic at: Ivan.Tesic@public.srce.hr

Yours in Him,

Mladen and Dragica Jovanovic

Update from Ivan's wife
Dear Loving Christian Friends,

Ivan had a van accident late Saturday night in Zagreb. He was going to pick someone up at the train station. As he was going through an intersection with a green light, a car ran through a red light and they collided. It was good that Ivan was using the church van instead of our car as he usually does. He was also wearing his seat belt.

He called me immediately from his cell phone before they took him to the hospital to check on things. He didn't hit his head on the front and was conscious all the time. However, he did suffer from the whiplash effect which apparently caused a mild concussion from the back. They decided to keep him for observation and put a pad around his neck. They kept him on IV and liquids Sunday, and then ran some more tests on Monday.

They probably would have released him by Tuesday, but while he was already in the hospital he decided to have them run some more general tests not necessarily related to the accident itself. That also had the good result of forcing him to rest more calmly than he probably would have done at home during the same period.

The van can most likely be repaired. However, the other driver did not have his car properly registered and insured so that will certainly complicate things. Thank you for all of your prayers and good wishes!

In Christ,

Ruth, Ivan, Peter, David and Daniel Tesic
