Yesterday a Christian lady in the interior of São Paulo state sent us this email note, after receiving the August edition of Edificação (Edification) Magazine:

I am very happy when I receive the copy of Edification Magazine for the church in São José do Rio Preto, because it was with it that in difficult times I managed to remain faithful to the Lord, for it always brings encouragement. Thank you for your insistence with it and also to Randal.

She sent the email to our Brazilian colleague and editor, Francisco Bezerra.

We are encouraged by such responses, which give us continued reason to work hard at what we do.

Thanks for your prayers and support in this effort.

Francisco (at right) and I took advantage of the Corpus Christi holiday yesterday. He and his family came to the house, and we worked on plans for the next issue of Edification Magazine.

Francisco is our new editor and is really dedicating himself to the task. He is bringing new life and ideas to the magazine.

As of 2002, the new editor of Edification Magazine is Francisco Bezerra, from São Paulo.

Francisco is Director of Events for the RioSul airline and travels extensively. He is an evangelist, preacher, writer, and teacher. He studies law at a local university.

He is married to Valdirene, with whom he has one daughter, Rebecca. They are expecting another.

This is an exciting phase for the magazine. Francisco will bring a dynamic faith to the publication and new life to the editorial process.

Keep him in your prayers as he settles into his new job.
